1. Who we are and what these terms cover
The Travelia portal is operated by Esentra, s.r.o., Levočská 7711/47, 080 01 Prešov, Slovak Republic, company ID (IČO): 47 183 721, registered in the Commercial Register of the Prešov District Court, section: Sro, file no. 28128/P ("Travelia"). These terms cover how a guest uses the portal to find a place to stay, send an enquiry and book.
2. Travelia is not a party to the accommodation contract
- The accommodation contract is made directly between the guest and the host. Travelia publishes listings and passes messages and bookings between them.
- Every listing says whether the host is a trader (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, Art. 30). If not, EU consumer rights do not apply to the contract with them.
- The host is responsible for the accommodation, its condition and its services.
3. Enquiry, request and booking
- A non-binding enquiry is a question to the host. It does not hold the dates and costs nothing. The host may reply with an offer; accepting the offer makes a booking.
- A booking request holds the dates until the host confirms or declines it, at most within the time shown with the request.
- An instant booking is confirmed at once. If the host asks for a deposit and the guest does not pay it by its due date, the booking lapses.
- The price, the deposit, the due dates and the cancellation terms are shown before sending and saved with the booking. A later change to the host's terms does not affect a booking already made.
4. Payment
- The guest pays the host directly — by transfer to the account shown on the booking's payment page, or on site where the host allows it. Travelia does not take guests' money and charges the guest nothing for a booking.
- Only pay to the account shown on the booking's payment page. Travelia will never ask you to pay through a link in a message.
5. Cancellation
- You cancel a booking in its details. Whether money is returned, and how much, is set by the host's cancellation terms saved with the booking.
- For accommodation on specific dates, a consumer has no right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(l)).
6. Reviews
Only a guest whose stay took place through the portal may write a review. How reviews are checked is described on the page "How we verify reviews".
7. Complaints
A complaint about the accommodation is settled between the guest and the host. Illegal content or a suspicious listing can be reported to Travelia with the "Report" button (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, Art. 16). [TO COMPLETE: alternative dispute resolution]
8. Changes, governing law and contact
A booking is governed by the terms in force when it was sent.
