How we rank recommended listings
The recommended order is built from what helps guests choose — not from who paid how much.
What the order is made of
The longer the part, the more it counts. Nobody can buy a higher place — not with Premium, not on the commission plan.
- Complete profile — counts most
- Guest ratings — counts most
- Guest interest — counts moderately
- Current calendar — counts moderately
- Host replies — counts less
-
Complete profile
counts mostHow complete the profile is — photos, description, amenities and exact prices.
-
Guest ratings
counts mostGuest ratings, smoothed by the number of reviews, so one review does not decide the place.
-
Guest interest
counts moderatelyHow often a look at the listing turns into a booking.
-
Current calendar
counts moderatelyHow often the host keeps the calendar current.
-
Host replies
counts lessHow reliably the host replies to inquiries and requests.
And on top of that
-
New listing
A new listing gets a light boost in its first month, so it has a chance to earn its own ratings.
-
Match with your search
And finally, how well the listing matches your own search — the place, the dates and the number of guests.
Paid places are always labelled
TOP places and bumps sit above the recommended order; a highlight only marks the card. They never change the order below them and only appear when the listing matches your search. You will know them by this strip:
Promoted · the host pays for this TOP place
