Travelia

Listing is free. Commission is nothing — even when a guest books.

Travelia brings guests and hosts together . The enquiry, the phone call and the booking all come straight to you — you send us nothing out of what the stay earns, and you are tied to nothing.

What does commission cost you in a year?

Put in what you charge a night and how many nights you fill. Set the rate from your own contract.

Commission would take this much in a year:

€1,620

A month
€135
Yearly takings
€10,800

A rough figure, worked out from the percentage you entered. Commission differs by contract, country and programme — your own rate is in your own agreement. On Travelia it is nothing.

Presentation or commission? Compare on your own numbers

Listing is free. If you want more, choose between a yearly Premium and a commission only on stays that took place — and see which pays off at your numbers.

How many bookings you expect from us. Commission is only paid on stays that took place.
€
For the whole stay, without tourist tax, for example 320.
It sets the price of the website and the bundle: guests and bookable units (rooms, apartments).
Guests who would otherwise book through another portal.

  • Free €0 a year Profile, photos, calendar, enquiries and reviews. No fee and no commission.
  • Premium Cheaper €119 a year, or €12.90 a month (€154.80 a year) A fixed price, no commission on stays. Guests see your contact details straight away.
  • Commission plan (8 %) Cheaper €204.80 a year Nothing up front, Premium features included. 8 % only on stays that took place; guests see your contact details once the booking is confirmed.

At these numbers, Premium pays off. At these numbers, the commission plan pays off. Commission reaches the price of Premium (€119) at 5 stays a year.

Premium for a year €119
Commission plan (8 %) €204.80
Another portal (15 %) €384

Compared with another portal (€384), the cheaper plan saves you €265 a year.

Your own property website

€99 a year or €9.90 a month — an add-on to any plan.

5 bookings from your own site would cost you €240 in commission through another portal. The site costs €99 a year.

In a bundle with Premium for a year at €179 (€218 apart).

Bookings from your own site carry no commission on any plan — the guest came to you, not through the portal.

  • Prices are final — we charge no VAT, as we are not a VAT payer.
  • Commission is worked out on the price of the stay without tourist tax, and only on stays that took place.
  • You enter the other portal’s commission — rates differ by contract and programme. The figures are indicative.

What you get out of it

No commission on a stay
The profile, the photographs, the calendar and the enquiries are free. We take nothing out of what a guest pays you — not on the first booking and not on the tenth. Only optional extras cost anything, and you switch those on if and when you want them.
Guests write to you, not to us
An enquiry arrives by e-mail; a guest reveals your telephone number on your own page. You agree between yourselves, with nobody in the middle relaying it and taking a share for doing so. You know who is coming, and the guest knows who they are talking to.
A calendar that keeps itself straight
If you keep dates on another site or in Google Calendar, connect them over iCal and Travelia fills the booked nights in by itself. A double booking is the most expensive mistake in this trade — this is how to avoid it without copying dates by hand.
A page of your own that Google can find
Every listing gets an address, a description, a gallery, a map, prices and reviews — which is exactly what a search engine needs before it will offer you to anyone. That part is our job; yours is the photographs and the prices.
Six languages, four countries
Slovak, Czech, Polish, Hungarian, English and German. A guest from Budapest or Warsaw reads your profile in their own language, with the price in their own currency, and you translate nothing.
Your prices, your rules
Seasons, weekend rates, a minimum stay, a deposit, pets and check-in times are all yours to set. Nobody imposes a discount you did not want to give, and nobody edits your rates without asking.

How it goes

  1. Fill in the profile

Sign up, then follow the wizard: where it is, how many it sleeps, what a guest finds there and what it costs. It takes a few minutes and saves as you go, so you can come back to it.

  2. Add dates and prices

Click the booked nights into the calendar, or pull them in from another site over iCal. Enter the prices once and the seasons work themselves out afterwards.

  3. The enquiries arrive

A guest writes or rings. You answer, you agree, and they pay you directly — by transfer or by QR code. We stay out of it.

The rest of the picture

  • The contract for the stay is between you and the guest. Travelia is not a party to it.
  • We hold no guest money. They pay you directly, to your account or in cash.
  • Highlighting and better placement are paid, and always visibly marked as such.

What hosts ask

What does it actually cost?

Listing costs nothing and we take no percentage of a stay. The profile, the gallery, the calendar, iCal, enquiries and reviews all belong to the free account. Only optional extras are paid — highlighting in a region, for instance — and you turn those on yourself, you see the price first, and without them the site works exactly the same.

Who is the guest actually dealing with?

You. Travelia is where you meet, not an agency that signs on your behalf. Cancellation terms, deposits and house rules are yours to set, and a guest sees them before they ever get in touch. It also means a complaint is settled between the two of you — and that nobody overrules you.

How do I get paid?

Directly. A guest pays you by transfer, by QR code or in cash on arrival, whichever you agree. Travelia neither holds guest money nor passes it through, so there is no payout cycle to wait for and nothing is deducted along the way.

Do I have to keep two calendars?

No. If you already keep availability somewhere else, paste the iCal link into Travelia and the dates fill themselves in — and our calendar exports the same way to anywhere else. The sync runs on a schedule in the background, so it is not something to remember.

What if it turns out not to suit me?

Hide the listing or close the account whenever you like, with no notice period and no fee. No tie-in and no exclusivity: be listed elsewhere at the same time by all means. Your photographs and your words stay yours — when you close the account we take them off the site.
